Becky Conner
Becky Stuart Conner is the Leadership and Event Coordinator for LWCC, Liberal Women of Chesterfield County & Beyond, a 100% grassroots organization started just after the 2016 election. Her role in LWCC is multi-faceted and ever-changing, but she mainly oversees the 50+ LWCC Neighborhood and Advocacy group leaders, helping them with project facilitation and event planning.
Becky is a Virginia native who has spent most of her life in Chesterfield County and always assumed she was the only liberal south of the James River. When she discovered LWCC in November and realized she was not alone, she decided to do whatever she could to help grow the group and make real change happen. As a result of her involvement with LWCC, she discovered the Chesterfield County Democratic Committee (CCDC) and decided to run for a leadership position in that organization in December of 2017. Becky is currently serving as 1st Vice Chair of Precinct Operations and Organization for CCDC and looking forward to another successfully organized election season in 2019.
On a personal level, Becky has a degree in Architectural Engineering Technology and works as an electrical designer specializing in lighting design. She is actively involved in a volunteer-based professional organization for the lighting industry, the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), serving as President of the Richmond Section for 12 years before assuming more responsibility as District Chair for the Southeast in 2017.
Becky and her husband Bryan live in Chesterfield with their three teenagers (19, 16 and 13) and enjoy getting out of town to see live music whenever possible.
